Las redes sociales se están llenando de mensajes de condolencia tras la inesperada muerte de Vinnie Paul, batería de Pantera y Hellyeah. Músicos y fans lloran la pérdida de uno de los motores de una banda que estableció nuevas reglas en el metal de los años noventa.
Vinnie Paul, batería de Pantera y Hellyeah, ha fallecido a los 54 años. No han trascendido las causas de su muerte. La noticia ha sido confirmada en las redes sociales tanto de Pantera como en el perfil personal de Vinnie Paul con un comunicado.
“Vincent Paul Abbott, Vinnie Paul, ha fallecido. Paul es conocido por su trabajo como batería en las bandas Pantera y Hellyeah. No hay disponibles más detalles por el momento. La familia solicita por favor que se respete la privacidad durante este tiempo”.
Vinnie Paul fundó Pantera junto con su hermano Dimebag Darrell. En 2003 cerraron ese extenso y exitoso capítulo y formaron Damageplan. Fue en diciembre de 2004 cuando Dimebag fue asesinado mientras actuaban en Columbus (Ohio). En la última década Vinnie Paul ha sido el motor de la banda Hellyeah.
