Strong And Proud – 30 Years Of Rock And Metal es el categórico título del nuevo DVD/Blu-Ray de Doro, que saldrá a la venta el 24 de junio a través de Nuclear Blast. La vocalista alemana celebró su trigésimo aniversario en el mundo de la música con una gira mundial durante 2013 y 2014. En ese período llegó a realizar tres shows de aniversario, que conforman su nueva edición.
Estos tres momentos cruciales fueron su actuación en el festival de Wacken ante 85.000 personas y los dos conciertos ‘sold-out’ en su ciudad natal, Dusseldorf. Doro contó con numerosos artistas invitados que quisieron sumarse a la celebración: Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Biff Byford (Saxon), Chris Caffery (Savatage), Blaze Bayley (ex- Iron Maiden), Joakim Brodén (Sabaton), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O.), Uli Jon Roth…
Strong And Proud – 30 Years Of Rock And Metal incluirá tres DVD’s y dos Blu-rays que contendrán esos tres conciertos de aniversario y un amplio documental. En total 38 canciones que abarcan desde los clásicos de Doro hasta los hits de Warlock pasando por alguna versión como Fear Of The Dark (Iron Maiden) o Balls To The Wall (Accept). La portada ha sido obra de Geoffrey Gillespie.
La propia Doro Pesch echa la mirada atrás para repasar la gestación de su nueva obra: “Hemos pasado numerosas horas, días y noches trabajando en el DVD porque queríamos presentar algo ciertamente remarcable para todos los fans del rock y el metal de cara al 30 aniversario. Hemos tenido en cuenta cada detalle. Todo comenzó con el escenario bombástico de Wacken. Trabajamos durante un año en ese diseño. En Dusseldorf incluso celebramos dos noches seguidas. Una ‘Classic Night’ (noche clásica) con una orquesta de 40 músicos y una noche de rock. Todo continuó sin descanso con una gira de aniversario que nos llevó a Rusia, Sudamérica y mi segunda casa, Estados Unidos, entre otros países”.
Ademas, Strong And Proud – 30 Years Of Rock And Metal contiene un documental de más de dos horas titulado Behind The Curtain, Inside The Heart Of Doro. “Incluye fotografías que no se han visto nunca de nuestra vida detrás del escenario. El equipo de cámaras nos acompañó a todas partes durante más de un año y capturó situaciones muy emocionales, íntimas y humanas”, resume Doro.
