El rumor llevaba tiempo circulando, pero hoy se ha hecho realidad. The Black Crowes han confirmado una gira de reunión en 2020 en la que celebrarán el trigésimo aniversario de su disco de debut, Shake Your Money Maker. En ese tour especial tocarán el disco al completo además de otros de sus grandes clásicos.
Chris y Rich Robinson emprenderán el nuevo viaje de The Black Crowes el 17 de junio en Austin (Texas). Un extenso periplo por Norteamérica que les llevará hasta Los Ángeles a mediados de septiembre. La formación la compondrán Chris y Rich Robinson, el guitarrista Isiah Mitchell (Earthless), el bajista Tim LeFebvre (David Bowie’s «Blackstar»), el teclista Joel Robinow y el batería Ojha (Once And Future Band).
“Estoy emocionado por tocar con mi hermano y celebrar la música que hemos hecho y que nos ha llevado a completar el círculo en nuestras vidas. Larga vida al rock n’ Roll y The Black Crowes”, declara Chris Robinson. “Lo primero y más importante, estoy feliz de tener a mi hermano de vuelta en mi vida. Poder tocar música juntos y celebrar el primer disco que hicimos de críos es un regalo”, apunta Rich Robinson.
Para celebrar el anuncio de esta gira The Black Crowes dará un concierto íntimo esa noche en el Bowery Ballroom de Nueva York y otro en The Troubadour de West Hollywood el jueves (14 de noviembre).
